What an EB-5 regional center does
A regional center is an entity that USCIS approves to sponsor EB-5 projects and pool capital from foreign investors. For investors, the practical benefit is the job-counting rule. When you invest through a regional center, your project can count indirect and induced jobs, not only the people on its direct payroll, toward the program's job-creation requirement. That math is what makes most EB-5 petitions workable.
Polaris handles the regional center side of the work: sponsorship, compliance filings, escrow oversight, and job-creation tracking. How investing through Polaris works
Approval at every step rests with USCIS. No regional center, Polaris included, can promise an immigration result.
Invest qualifying capital. The current minimum is $800,000 for a project in a Targeted Employment Area and $1,050,000 outside one.
File Form I-526E, the investor petition tied to a regional center project.
Capital is held in escrow and released into the job-creating project under the terms of the offering.
Receive conditional permanent residency through Form I-485 or consular processing, subject to USCIS approval.
File Form I-829 to remove conditions once the job-creation and sustainment requirements are met.
